2021 Year 2 Excursion - Sydney Zoo - Friday 14th May First, we got on the bus and went to the zoo. Then, we had crunch and sip and were split into groups. We saw spider monkeys, baboons and the meerkats. Next, we saw the camels and they were eating their food. After that, we had recess at a grassy area. Then, we went to a workshop where we met a zoo keeper. He let us see some insects and touch some reptiles. Next, we went to the aquarium and looked at some sea creatures. After that, we went to the reptile and nocturnal section. It was very dark because nocturnal animals are awake at night. Then, we entered the Australian section and saw the dingoes, emus, kangaroos and koalas. One of the kangaroos had a joey in its pouch! We were hungry so we had a short lunch because we hadn't been to the African section. In the African section, we saw elephants, orangutans, lions, giraffes and zebras. After that, it was time to walk back to the entry to go back to the bus. My favourite animal was the meerkats. Year 2 had a fantastic day at Sydney Zoo! Recount written by Diva in 2 Red.
