2021 NSW Primary Schools Chess Competition
This term, Darcy Road Public School has been competing in the NSW Primary Schools Chess Competition!
All students from Years 3 -6 were given the opportunity to try out for the teams and nine students were selected for their Chess playing ability. These students can be found on a Friday afternoon competing against students from local schools such as Toongabbie East, Beresford Road, Redfield College, North Rocks and The King’s School.
Chess is an excellent game to build critical and deep thinking skills whilst having fun! All students in Stages 2 & 3 have the opportunity to play socially during set lunchtimes to develop these skills.
