In NSW primary schools, the study of a language is optional.
Language study allows students to develop communication skills, learn about languages as systems and explore the relationship between language and culture. Students engage with the linguistic and cultural diversity of societies and reflect on their understanding of social interactions.
Hindi Classes At Darcy Road Public School
Our school runs Community Language classes for the Hindi language. The Department of Education supplies the teachers to our school so that students with the Hindi language in their family background can learn Hindi alongside learning English. Students enrolled in our school with a family background in speaking Hindi are entitled to participate in Hindi languge classes. Hindi lessons are for 2 hours per week.
